Structure before pricing
Structure determines pricing, so it is settled first. A rate quoted before the security is understood is a number without a transaction behind it.
The firm
An international finance house, arranging capital against transactions that can carry it.

Empyrean Capital is the trading name of Empyrean Holdings Ltd, a company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands. Empyrean arranges trade finance worldwide, working with exporters, importers and the intermediaries who represent them.
That is the whole business. Empyrean does one thing, which is why it can say plainly whether a trade is financeable rather than finding something else to sell.
Facilities are secured on the goods — in production, in transit, in the warehouse, or in the receivable they become. Control and evidence of the cargo matter more than the borrower's balance sheet, which is why files are assessed on what is actually shipping.
Empyrean acts as an arranger and structurer. Capital is provided by banks and funders. Empyrean does not take deposits and does not lend as principal.
Mandates are considered worldwide. Jurisdiction matters less than whether the goods, the documents, the counterparties and the banks stand up to scrutiny.
How we approach a mandate
Structure determines pricing, so it is settled first. A rate quoted before the security is understood is a number without a transaction behind it.
The cargo is the security. A trade is assessed on what is shipping, who controls it, and who is contracted to pay.
A file that will not finance is returned with the reason, on the first read where possible.
Confidentiality is assumed on both sides from first contact, without needing to be asked for.
